Overview
This bill requires New Jersey Transit (NJT) to install and maintain automated external defibrillators (AEDs) on all trains used for passenger service. It mandates that these AEDs be readily accessible, regularly tested and maintained, and that employees be trained in their use and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The bill also provides legal immunity for NJT and its employees related to the acquisition and use of these devices.
