Bill overview
This bill simplifies the process for veterans to become certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). It allows veterans who have served as Combat Army Medics, Navy Hospital Corpsmen, or equivalent roles to receive EMT-Basic certification more easily, provided they hold a current EMT certification and pass a background check. The bill also requires the Department of Health to clearly explain the certification requirements on its website.
