Overview
This bill would require the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) and the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) to automatically offer toll discounts to senior citizens, specifically those 65 years of age and older, who have an account with the state’s electronic toll collection system (NJ E-ZPass). The discount would be at least 10% lower than the standard toll rate and would be applied automatically when a senior citizen’s account turns 65 or when they apply for an account.
