Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Commissioner of Education to conduct a study on the learning loss experienced by students with developmental disabilities as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency. The study will examine the impact of virtual instruction and services, compare current skill levels to pre-pandemic levels, and gather data from evaluations, attendance records, and parent feedback. The commissioner must then report their findings and recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature within 180 days.
