Bill overview
This bill updates New Jersey’s law regarding endangered plant species. It expands the definition of ‘endangered species’ to include plants that are rare, threatened, or have few populations within the state, while excluding invasive species. The bill also directs the Department of Environmental Protection to create a list of endangered plant species and allows them to control invasive plants, regardless of the presence of endangered species in the area.
