This bill requires the Attorney General, in partnership with the Department of Education, to provide annual training to students and staff in public and nonpublic schools on how to respond to school emergencies, including lockdowns and active shooter situations. The training must cover roles and responsibilities before, during, and after emergencies and will be offered in both face-to-face and online formats. It also extends training to staff supervising youth programs operating in school buildings.
