Bill overview
This bill, the Military Spouse Licensure Reform Act, aims to streamline the process for professional and occupational licenses in New Jersey for the spouses of active duty military members. It allows nonresident military spouses with valid licenses in another jurisdiction to receive a temporary license in New Jersey, enabling them to continue practicing their profession while their New Jersey application is reviewed. Upon approval, the board will then issue a full, permanent license. The bill also repeals existing legislation related to military spouse licensure.
