Bill overview
This bill allows New Jersey’s Surrogate Courts in each county to create systems that accept electronic signatures on certain legal documents related to probate matters. These documents include applications for probate, executor qualifications, and other paperwork involved in administering estates. The bill does not apply to wills. The Supreme Court and the Administrative Director of the Courts can develop rules and guidelines to support the implementation of this electronic system.
