Overview
This bill creates the Veterans’ Memorial Homes Oversight Board, an independent body reporting to but not under the direct control of the Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs. The board’s purpose is to review the operations, policies, and investigations at the Veterans’ Memorial Homes-Menlo Park, Vineland, and Paramus, as well as any future facilities. It will also identify systemic issues and make recommendations to improve care and operations for veterans.
