Overview
This bill requires landlords in New Jersey to disclose whether their rental properties are served by lead service lines or lead water supply plumbing to their tenants. Landlords must inspect their properties within 90 days of the law’s enactment to determine if these issues exist and notify tenants accordingly. Failure to comply could result in a civil penalty of up to $500 per violation.
