Overview
This bill allows New Jersey students receiving Opportunity Grants through the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) to use a portion of those grant funds to pay for summer courses. Students must notify the Secretary of Higher Education of their intention to use a portion of the grant for summer sessions, which will then reduce the amount of the grant disbursed during the academic year. The bill also requires annual reporting on student participation in summer courses and graduation rates.
