Overview
This bill extends the early voting period for primary and May municipal elections in New Jersey. It adjusts the start dates of the early voting period to begin 11 calendar days before the election, allowing for a longer window for voters to cast their ballots. Municipalities can also extend the early voting period for regular municipal elections held in May. The bill also mandates the use of electronic poll books and optical-scan voting machines during the early voting period.
