Bill overview
This bill enacts the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact, allowing licensed audiologists and speech-language pathologists in one state to practice in other participating states. To do so, practitioners must hold a license in their home state, meet certain eligibility requirements, and notify the Compact Commission. The Compact also establishes a system for sharing information among member states, including adverse action records, and allows member states to take action against practitioners practicing under the Compact. It aims to improve access to these services and streamline licensure processes across state lines.
