Bill overview
This bill changes how certain public employees, specifically those working for school districts as members of the Public Employees’ Retirement System, receive credit for their service. Currently, full-year service credit was awarded for full-time work during the full school year. This bill lowers the requirement to 900 hours worked over at least 8 calendar months to receive a full year of service credit. It also clarifies the calculation of service credit for employees in the Nevada System of Higher Education.
