Overview
This bill creates the Affordable Housing Obligation Study Commission to examine the history of affordable housing in New Jersey and assess the effectiveness of existing strategies for meeting housing needs. The commission will analyze population trends, review guidance provided to municipalities, and ultimately produce a report with recommendations for both local governments and state agencies on how to better address affordable housing obligations. Once the report is published, the commission will automatically dissolve.
