Overview
This bill changes how New Jersey handles real estate licenses from other states. It allows the New Jersey Real Estate Commission to grant licenses to out-of-state brokers, salesperson, and broker-salesperson applicants without requiring them to take the state exam, provided their home state also grants reciprocity and their licensing standards are comparable to New Jersey’s. The changes will take effect seven months after the bill is enacted and apply to applications received after that date.
