Overview
This bill would expand automatic voter registration in New Jersey by requiring agencies that issue hunting, fishing, or trapping licenses to offer a voter registration process to eligible individuals. These agencies, such as the Division of Fish and Wildlife, would collect information similar to that already gathered at the Motor Vehicle Commission and automatically transmit voter registration data to the Secretary of State. Individuals would have the option to decline participation in the automatic registration process.
