This bill requires a public utility in New Jersey to reimburse a municipality for the costs of police services needed to safely complete a public utility project. The bill also allows municipalities to recover reasonable attorney’s fees in lawsuits against the utility related to these costs, but these fees cannot be paid by ratepayers.
