Overview
This bill establishes the ‘Task Force for Community Based Juvenile Rehabilitation’ to advise the state on juvenile prosecution and sentencing. The task force will examine minimum and maximum ages for juvenile court cases, as well as racial disparities in the juvenile justice system. It will also hold public hearings across the state and submit a report to the Governor and the Legislature within a year.
