Overview
This bill allows the New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education to appoint an ‘antisemitism monitor’ to any college or university in the state. The monitor would review campus policies and procedures related to combating antisemitism, establish a reporting system for incidents, and issue regular progress reports with recommendations for improvement. Institutions are required to follow the monitor’s recommendations, and failure to do so could result in reduced state funding or loss of student assistance program eligibility.
