Overview
This bill requires New Jersey’s public colleges and universities to waive tuition and fees for military veterans and service members who have received the Medal of Honor or Purple Heart. To qualify, recipients must be enrolled as undergraduate students, have applied for all available financial aid, and demonstrate eligibility as determined by the institution’s governing board. The bill would allow eligible veterans to take up to 16 credits per semester tuition-free for a maximum of eight semesters.
