Overview
This bill would allow New Jersey residents who transport people with developmental disabilities to obtain special parking insignias for their passenger vehicles. These insignias would permit the vehicles to park in spaces designated for vehicles for the physically handicapped when being used for transport. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission would issue these insignias upon application, and they would need to be renewed annually. The bill also defines ‘developmental disability’ for the purpose of this legislation.
