Overview
This bill requires certain New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ Transit) employees, specifically those with access to ‘security sensitive areas,’ to undergo criminal history background checks and wear photo identification. Prospective security employees must submit to fingerprinting and cannot be hired if their background check reveals disqualifying information.
