This bill would allow any member of the New Jersey Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) who participated in rescue, recovery, or cleanup operations at the World Trade Center between September 11, 2001, and October 11, 2001, to receive an accidental disability retirement allowance if they develop a permanent and total disability as a result.
