Overview
This bill limits the amount of unused sick leave pay and vacation leave carry-forward that public officers and employees can receive upon retirement. It sets a cap of $10,000 for supplemental compensation based on unused sick leave, payable only at retirement. The bill also modifies how vacation leave is handled, limiting it to one year of accumulation unless related to a state of emergency. It applies to both public entities that have adopted Title 11A of the New Jersey Statutes and those that haven't.
