Overview
This bill aims to protect school districts in New Jersey that are currently spending below the state’s adequacy standards from reductions in State school aid. Specifically, it ensures that districts located in municipalities with higher tax rates and those deemed ‘SDA districts’ (formerly known as Abbott districts) will not be subject to the usual State aid reduction schedule outlined in P.L. 2018, c. 67.
