Overview
This bill establishes gross income tax credits and corporation business tax credits to encourage student loan payments in New Jersey. It allows qualified taxpayers, including graduates of higher education institutions, to receive a credit based on a portion of their student loan payments made during employment in the state. Employers are also eligible for a credit for payments made on behalf of qualified employees. The credits are designed to incentivize graduates to remain in New Jersey and support workforce development in STEM fields.
