Overview
This bill would give businesses in New Jersey an extra 30 days to fix violations they’ve received from state agencies. Currently, agencies can suspend fines for up to 60 days if a violation doesn’t pose a serious risk to public safety or the environment. This amendment allows agencies to extend that 60-day period by another 30 days, if they determine it’s justified. The bill was amended after a technical review to ensure it aligns with current regulations.
