Overview
This bill restricts the ability of state, county, and local governments, as well as schools and childcare centers, to require vaccinations against COVID-19. It establishes a reimbursement program to help cover out-of-pocket costs for health care workers and others required to receive the vaccine in certain healthcare facilities. The bill does not apply to health care workers or those working in licensed healthcare facilities who are required to be vaccinated as a condition of their employment. It also ensures any vaccination requirements for these individuals align with existing state and federal laws and facility policies.
