Overview
This bill changes the definition of ‘contracting unit’ within New Jersey’s cooperative purchasing agreements. Currently, state boards, commissions, committees, and agencies were excluded. The bill expands this definition to include state authorities and agencies, as well as ‘local units’ such as counties, municipalities, and school districts. These changes aim to broaden the ability of state and local governments to leverage cooperative purchasing opportunities for better deals on goods and services.
