Bill overview
This bill modifies how fiscal notes are included in the summaries of bills and joint resolutions introduced in the Nevada Legislature. It changes the standard statement regarding the ‘Effect on the State’ from ‘Effect on the State: Yes’ to ‘Effect on the State: May have Fiscal Impact.’ Additionally, it requires summaries to include information about the potential fiscal impact on the State Highway Fund. The bill also allows the Fiscal Analysis Division to extend the timeframe for local governments to prepare and return fiscal notes by up to seven additional days if more research is needed.
