Bill overview
This bill creates the Office of Ombudsman for Legislative Employees within the Legislative Counsel Bureau of the Nevada State Government. The Ombudsman will assist legislative employees with their rights and responsibilities, mediate workplace conflicts, and provide information about available services. The bill also requires the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections to conduct a study during the 2025-2026 interim regarding issues related to legislative employment, and establishes guidelines for the Ombudsman’s role and confidentiality.
