Bill overview
This bill revises election procedures in Nevada, primarily by changing the circumstances under which a candidate or voter can demand a recount. It now allows a defeated candidate to request a recount if the difference in votes between them and the winner is 5% or less, and requires a recount if the difference is 0.25% or less. Additionally, it establishes a 5% threshold for voter-requested recounts for ballot questions and creates the Voter Access Grant Program to support election administration and voter access initiatives.
