Overview
This bill allows New Jersey taxpayers to voluntarily donate a portion of their state income tax refund or include a separate contribution on their tax return to support United Way of New Jersey. It creates a dedicated fund within the Department of the Treasury to collect these donations. The state legislature will then distribute the funds collected equally to various United Way organizations across New Jersey to support their programs and services.
