Overview
This bill requires employers in New Jersey to provide job applicants with information about their eligibility for various types of leave and disability benefits when they make a job offer. Specifically, employers must disclose eligibility for the Family Leave Act, the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, New Jersey Security and Financial Empowerment Act, Temporary Disability Benefits Law, and family temporary disability leave benefits. If an applicant is ineligible for any of these benefits, the employer must notify them of this ineligibility and provide the reason. Failure to comply will result in a civil penalty of up to $500 per violation.
