Overview
This bill prohibits the sale and distribution of nail polish and nail hardeners that contain dibutyl phthalates, toluene, or formaldehyde. It requires sellers and distributors to immediately recall products containing these chemicals and mandates that retailers remove the products from shelves and return them to the seller. The Director of Consumer Affairs will also be responsible for issuing recalls, and the products must be properly disposed of afterward. Violations of the law can result in significant penalties.
