Overview
This bill proposes to charge administrative fees to out-of-state contractors who bid on or are awarded contracts subject to New Jersey’s Prevailing Wage Act and Public Works Contractor Registration Act. The fee is one percent of the contract value and would be paid to the State Treasurer. Contractors can deduct any direct costs they’ve already paid to the state for business registration from the fee amount.
