Overview
This bill requires people to wear a helmet when operating a bicycle, scooter, or motorized scooter. It expands the existing law that requires helmets for those under 17 to include all operators of these vehicles. The bill also includes provisions for businesses selling or renting these vehicles to display warning signs and offer helmets to customers. Municipalities can exempt certain areas where bicycle operation is not otherwise prohibited.
