Overview
This bill aims to help college students in New Jersey access food assistance programs. It requires the state’s Human Services Commissioner and the Higher Education Secretary to create information about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), including how to apply and a link to NJ 211. Public colleges and universities must also provide students with details about on-campus and community-based food assistance resources when they first enroll and during each semester’s registration.
