Overview
This bill requires New Jersey hospitals to create and regularly update environmental sustainability plans. These plans must set goals for reducing the hospital’s environmental impact, including energy use, waste generation, and water consumption. Hospitals will also need to develop strategies for sustainable purchasing, building design, and employee education, with annual progress reports required for public review.
