Overview
This bill allows New Jersey school boards to lease certain school property to federally qualified health centers without holding a competitive bidding process. Boards can do this even if the property isn't immediately needed for school use, as long as the health center’s operations are compatible with school activities. Leases exceeding five years require approval from the Commissioner of Education, and if a health center shares space with a school, it must be in a separate, distinct area to ensure student safety.
