Overview
This bill requests an additional $1.2 million in state funding for the Community College Opportunity Grant program. The grant helps eligible New Jersey students cover the remaining costs of tuition and fees at community colleges that aren't covered by other financial aid. It’s intended to assist students who are enrolled in at least six credits, don’t have a college degree, and meet specific income and academic requirements. The supplemental funding will allow the program to continue supporting students in the 2026 fiscal year.
