Overview
This bill expands New Jersey’s Community Solar Energy Program to include dual-use solar projects, which are solar installations that serve multiple purposes, such as being located on industrial sites. Currently, these projects were restricted from participating. The bill allows the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to offer incentives to participants and establish different incentive levels based on project characteristics. It also modifies existing pilot programs to allow for greater financial stacking and clarifies participation rules.
