Overview
This bill changes the rules for retired school business administrators who want to work part-time for school districts. Currently, they can only be reemployed for a maximum of two years and need approval from the Commissioner of Education. This bill removes that two-year limit and allows for annual contract renewals without needing the Commissioner’s approval. However, the school board must demonstrate a critical need for the position, and the Commissioner must agree that a need exists.
