Overview
This bill requires the Chief Diversity Officer in the Department of Treasury and other state officials to organize outreach events, training workshops, and educational programs for minority and women-owned businesses. These programs will be conducted in partnership with the Business Action Center and the Economic Development Authority to increase awareness and access to state contracting opportunities. The goal is to provide these businesses with technical and financial support, such as marketing assistance and training.
