Bill overview
This bill creates the Office of Aerospace in Nevada to develop and expand state planning for air service, airspace, and airport infrastructure. It establishes a system for automated weather observation, an airport lighting certification program, and a program to distribute surplus property to airports. The bill also revises the Nevada Air Service Development Fund and Commission, renaming them the Nevada Aerospace Development Fund and Commission, respectively, and requires the Office to administer these funds and submit annual reports to the Legislature. It further establishes a statewide network of crew cars to support rural airports and a comprehensive aviation support network.
