Bill overview
This bill revises economic development provisions in Nevada, primarily focusing on expanding workforce pathways. It requires the Governor’s Office of Workforce Innovation to include health care as a priority industry in its Career Pathways Demonstration Program. The bill also mandates large school districts and other districts to establish a Health Care Workforce Pathway Program and provides for similar programs for Teacher Academy College Pathway Programs. Furthermore, it amends the state treasurer’s tuition reimbursement program to include support for individuals completing health care pathway programs, and renames the Nevada Grown Educator Account to reflect its expanded scope.
