Bill overview
This bill changes the process for healthcare providers applying to participate in Nevada’s Medicaid program. Currently, providers must simply state that their application information is true and accurate and sign it under penalty of perjury. This new law requires that each application also be accompanied by verification of the provider’s identity and signature, which can be done through an oath administered by a notary or using an approved electronic identity verification system. This aims to strengthen the accuracy and integrity of Medicaid provider applications.
