Overview
This bill, the ‘Radical Regimes Education Act,’ requires New Jersey public schools in grades nine through twelve to include instruction on the atrocities committed by the governments of the Soviet Union (U.S.S.R.), China (PRC), and Nazi Germany. The instruction must align with the state’s social studies standards and cover topics such as the establishment and expansion of these regimes, human rights abuses, and the use of forced labor and concentration camps. The Commissioner of Education will provide resources to assist schools with this implementation.
