Overview
This bill proposes a new gross income tax credit for New Jersey residents to help offset the cost of child care. The amount of the credit depends on the Grow NJ Kids rating of the child care center, with higher ratings (three, four, or five stars) resulting in larger percentage credits for expenses paid. Certain provisions address how the credit applies to taxpayers with lower or higher incomes, and how it interacts with other tax credits.
